Energy Management Plan

1. Purpose

To promote energy sustainability and carbon reduction, Jia Jie Biomedical Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) establishes this Energy Management Plan to enhance energy efficiency and operational resilience. Through systematic management and technology adoption, the Company aims to reduce energy intensity and carbon footprint, achieving its corporate sustainability goals.

2. Scope of Application

This plan applies to all Company facilities, including manufacturing sites, R&D and training centers, and office areas. It covers energy consumption in air conditioning, lighting, production processes, and plant equipment.

3. Energy Management Policy

The Company is committed to:

  1. Complying with all relevant energy-related laws and regulations.

  2. Introducing high-efficiency equipment and intelligent control systems.

  3. Promoting employee energy-saving education and behavioral guidance.

  4. Establishing a comprehensive energy monitoring system to enhance transparency and real-time responsiveness.

  5. Conducting regular energy audits to ensure data accuracy and management effectiveness.

  6. Upgrading energy-saving equipment and integrating renewable energy to support the Company’s carbon neutrality roadmap.

4. Energy Management Mechanism

(1) Organizational Structure

  • Responsible Unit: Production / Sustainability Development Task Force

  • Responsibilities: Energy monitoring, equipment optimization, implementation of energy programs, and preparation of energy performance reports.

(2) Energy Inventory

  • Conduct a comprehensive energy inventory at least once a year, covering:

o Air conditioning and dehumidification systems
o Refrigeration and freezing equipment
o Analytical instruments and process machinery
o Office and common-area lighting

  • Establish 2023 as the baseline year for energy data and use it as the foundation for future performance evaluations.

(3) Target Setting and Tracking

  • Set annual energy efficiency targets.

  • Implement an Energy Management System (EMS) to monitor departmental energy usage trends and improve management efficiency.

  • Establish an abnormal energy-consumption alert mechanism for early detection and response.

  • Collaborate with academic institutions to conduct energy-saving diagnostics.

  • Acquire digital tools for carbon inventory and energy data tracking.

(4) Supply Chain Collaboration

  • Incorporate energy efficiency indicators into supplier evaluations.

  • Encourage suppliers to adopt ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.

5. Energy Efficiency Improvement Measures

Air Conditioning Systems: Optimize cleanroom settings and implement variable-frequency control.
Plant Equipment: Phase out high-energy-consuming process equipment and air compressors; improve efficiency.
Lighting Systems: Full LED conversion and automatic lighting sensors.
Office / IT Equipment: Adopt energy-saving computers and cloud-based systems to reduce hardware dependence.

6. Education and Employee Engagement

  • Conduct regular energy conservation training for employees and researchers.

  • Promote “Energy-Saving Guidelines” (e.g., turning off idle equipment, minimizing standby power, routine maintenance).

7. Review and Performance Disclosure

  • Conduct annual reviews of this plan’s implementation, including:

o Energy consumption trends
o Achievement of energy-saving targets
o Equipment replacement and improvement results

  • Disclose energy performance outcomes in the Company’s Sustainability Report to enhance ESG transparency.
