The Taiwan Health Food Association brings together scholars and experts in the fields of food, nutrition, medicine, and pharmacy. To encourage industry, government, academia, and research to take the health food industry seriously, and to develop health foods that truly have health benefits, in order to promote the health of people in Taiwan and around the world, the Association has been dedicated to conducting basic and applied research on the safety, toxicology, and health benefits of health foods for many years. To encourage excellent local Taiwanese manufacturers to contribute to the health of the Taiwanese people using Taiwanese materials and the results of Taiwanese research, the Association selects outstanding Taiwanese manufacturers for recognition at its annual meeting each year.
