Environmental Management System

1. Purpose

​In alignment with corporate social responsibility and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Jia Jie Biomedical Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) has established this Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure regulatory compliance, pollution prevention, energy efficiency, and proper waste management.
Through this system, the Company aims to advance the green transformation of the biotechnology industry and strengthen stakeholder trust.

2. Scope of Application

This system applies to all Company facilities, including offices, R&D and training centers, manufacturing sites, and warehouse operations.
It covers daily operations, research and development, production, raw-material procurement, and product transportation activities.

3. Environmental Policy Statement

​The Company actively promotes the following environmental policies:

1. Regulatory Compliance:
   Ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations, including wastewater treatment, waste management, and air-pollution control.

2. Energy Conservation and Carbon Management:
   Upgrade to high-efficiency equipment and air-conditioning systems; conduct annual carbon inventory and disclosure.

3. Water Resource and Wastewater Management:
   Monitor water consumption and properly treat laboratory wastewater containing microorganisms, pharmaceuticals, or solvents to ensure safe discharge.

4. Waste Management:
   Continuously reduce waste-generation intensity per production unit. All new products shall use 100% environmentally friendly packaging materials (POF or PET) compliant with eco-standards.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
   Collaborate with supply-chain partners, employees, and local communities to promote environmental protection and publicly disclose environmental-performance data.

4. Environmental Performance Management and Targets

Short-Term Goals (1 – 3 Years)

1. Strengthen corporate awareness and response to climate-change risks.

2. Reduce overall energy consumption by 1% annually in line with government energy-conservation policies.

3. Maintain compliance with government regulations and implement continuous greenhouse-gas (GHG) inventories.

4. Increase the proportion of eco-friendly packaging materials and reduce plastic usage.
    

Medium- to Long-Term Goals (3 – 5 Years)

1. Conduct third-party GHG verification and certification to ensure transparency of carbon-emission data.

2. Increase the percentage of renewable-energy usage.

3. Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions to enhance environmental sustainability and competitiveness.

5. Internal Audit and Review

• Conduct at least one internal environmental audit annually to examine legal compliance, system implementation, and goal achievement.

• Identify deficiencies or non-conformities and develop corrective-action plans accordingly.

6. Information Disclosure and Transparency

• Prepare an annual Sustainability Report in accordance with GRI Standards to disclose environmental performance.

• Publicly report on GHG emissions, energy consumption, and waste-management results to maintain transparency.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Review and update this system annually in response to emerging environmental risks and regulatory trends domestically and internationally.

• Actively adopt energy-saving technologies, green-material substitutions, and other innovative improvement measures to enhance sustainability performance.
